(303) 494-5849Some people are fortunate to be born with their life’s mission laid out clearly before them. It took me some time to realize that I was one of those lucky ones. Although my father and my stepmother, Hal and Sidra Stone, were there to walk the path of Voice Dialogue and the Psychology of Selves before me, this path was clearly mine as well.
I must admit that, like so many young people, I had been hoping for a path that would lead me away from the known world of my family. And I certainly tried my best. But it was not to be. So here I am, a senior teacher and facilitator in the Voice Dialogue community – and delighted to have found my true home.
My own emphasis goes beyond the relational and psycho-spiritual aspects of this work to include the physical realm. It has been my own experience with illness—rheumatoid arthritis in my twenties and, more recently, breast cancer—that gifts me with a deep understanding of the wisdom of the body and the transformative role of illness as teacher. My work, Body Dialogue, is an expression of my practical experiences with the physical challenges of illness and my spiritual and psychological explorations as well.
Although I was always interested in my father’s world (even before he and Sidra developed their work), I also traveled widely in my own psycho-spiritual explorations. In the early days, I studied with Paul Solomon and Richard Monka at The Ark. For the last ten years, I studied the Diamond Heart teachings of A.H. Almaas and, for four years, trained with Peter Fenner of Radiant Mind.
My interest in supporting the Voice Dialogue community led to the development of the “Colorado Convergence”, a community-building gathering that has become a yearly international event.
